Yeast Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. sugar
    1 pkg. yeast
    1/4 c. warm water
    1/4 c. butter or shortening
    1 c. milk
    1 egg, beaten
    1 tsp. salt
    3 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
Preparation
    First scald milk.
    Cool to lukewarm.
    Dissolve yeast in 1/4 cup warm water.
    Mix sugar, salt and shortening.
    Add warm milk and mix. Add beaten egg. Add yeast and flour. Mix well.
    Cover.
    Let rise for 1 1/2 hours.
    Punch down to put on floured board.
    Pinch off into rolls. Place in a greased baking dish.
    Let rise again about 1 1/2 hours. Bake in a 250\u00b0 oven for 1/2 hour.
    Turn up to 300\u00b0 and bake until brown. Brush top with butter.
