Apple Torte - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. melted butter
    2 tart cooking apples
    1/4 c. raisins, chopped
    1/4 c. dates, chopped
    1 egg
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/3 c. flour
    1/4 c. nutmeats
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
Preparation
    Pare and chop apples.
    Sift dry ingredients together and combine all.
    Spread in buttered Pyrex plate.
    Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven until apples are soft, about 30 minutes.
    Serve hot or cold with whipped cream or your favorite pudding sauce.
