Rice Pudding (Swedish) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. rice
    1 c. water
    5 c. milk
    2 eggs, beaten
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1/3 c. slivered almonds
    1/3 c. raisins
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cook rice and 1 cup boiling water with salt in top of boiler. Bring to boil and cook 15 minutes.
    Add milk and simmer for 45 minutes.
    Stir slowly into eggs; add remaining ingredients.
    Pour into casserole.
    Set pan in hot water and bake in hot oven (400\u00b0) for 45 minutes.
    Makes six generous servings.
    Eggs can be omitted and mixture served without further baking.
