Raspberry Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. margarine
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 egg
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. plus 1 Tbsp. flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 (12 oz.) jar raspberry jam
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. coconut
    1/2 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add egg and vanilla.
    Sift flour, baking powder and salt.
    Add to margarine mixture.
    Add coconut and nuts.
    Batter is thick.
    Grease and flour 9 x 9-inch pan (I use a 9 x 13-inch pan).
    Put 2/3 batter in pan.
    Spread jam over it; sprinkle rest of batter on top.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 to 45 minutes (30 to 40 minutes in 9 x 13-inch pan).
