Red Velvet Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    2 eggs
    2 bottles red food coloring
    pinch of salt
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
    2 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. cocoa
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. soda
    2 1/2 c. cake flour
Preparation
    Make cream mixture of salt, vanilla, milk and flour; set aside.
    Cream shortening, sugar and eggs.
    Make a paste with cocoa, vinegar and food coloring.
    Add to shortening-sugar mixture, then add the cream mixture.
    Mix well.
    Bake in three layers at 300\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
