Jan Hagle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. oleo, softened
    1 egg, separated
    2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
    1 Tbsp. water
    1/2 c. finely chopped nuts (English walnuts or pecans)
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Grease jelly roll pan (15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1-inch).
    Mix sugar, oleo and egg yolk.
    Mix in flour and cinnamon.
    Press into pan.
    Beat egg white with water until foamy. Brush over dough.
    Sprinkle with nuts.
    (Press nuts lightly into dough before baking.)
    Bake until lightly brown, 20 to 25 minutes. Immediately cut into squares about 3 x 1-inch.
    Makes 50 cookies.
