Hash Brown Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. hash brown potatoes
    2 c. Cheddar cheese, grated
    1/4 stick margarine, melted
    1/2 c. chopped onions
    1 can cream of chicken soup
    1/2 can water
    1 pt. sour cream
    1/2 tsp. salt
    dash of pepper
    1/4 stick margarine
    2 c. crushed cornflakes
Preparation
    Melt
    1/4 stick margarine and add all ingredients except 1/4 stick
    margarine and cornflakes.
    Mix well.
    Put in baking dish. Melt
    second
    1/4
    stick
    of margarine.
    Add cornflakes. Stir. Spread cornflake mixture on top.
    Bake for 40 minutes at 350\u00b0. May
    add
    sliced
    mushrooms
    to top of casserole, during last
    10 minutes
    of baking time.
    Saute mushrooms in a little butter, for a few minutes beforehand.
