Fresh Peach Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sliced peaches
    2 c. sugar
    1 stick butter or oleo
    3/4 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. milk
Preparation
    Mix peaches with 1 cup sugar.
    Let stand.
    Put butter in a 9-inch square pan and melt in 325\u00b0 oven.
    Combine rest of sugar, flour, baking powder, salt and milk.
    Make a batter and spoon over melted butter.
    Do not stir.
    Spoon peaches on top of the batter. Do not stir.
    Bake for 1 hour at 325\u00b0.
    Serve warm.
