Ingredients

3 c. sugar
3 Tbsp. Karo syrup
1 stick butter
1/3 c. sifted cocoa
1 c. sweet milk
1 Tbsp. vanilla
Preparation

Cook sugar, cocoa, syrup and milk.
Stir until sugar is dissolved.
Keep stirring until syrup forms \"soft ball.\"
Remove from heat.
Add butter.
Cool.
Add vanilla and beat until smooth and creamy.
Spread on top of cake layers.
