Crowd Pleasing Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large cabbage, shredded
    1 or 2 white onions, sliced thin
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. celery seed
    1 c. vinegar
    1 1/2 tsp. prepared mustard
    3/4 c. oil
Preparation
    Layer cabbage and onions in large casserole dish ending with cabbage.
    Sprinkle sugar and celery seed over cabbage.
    Bring to a boil vinegar, salt and mustard.
    Add oil and bring to a boil again.
    Pour over top of cabbage.
    Do not mix.
    Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
    (Best if refrigerated overnight.)
    Will keep for several weeks.
