Scones - cooking recipe

2 c. all-purpose flour
2 Tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 c. butter, cut up
2/3 c. buttermilk
1 large egg

After a trip to Scotland, my sister, Sue Fore, raved about scones with marmalade.
I began searching for recipes.
This is a good basic recipe, my favorite is Scottish Oat.
Scones are sort of an Old World cousin to our Southern biscuit.
