Pumpkin Meringue Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell
1 1/2 c. canned pumpkin
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
3 eggs, separated
1 c. evaporated milk
Preparation

Combine pumpkin with sugar, spices and salt.
Mix well.
Stir in egg yolks.
Gradually blend in evaporated milk.
Pour mixture into pie shell.
Bake in a 400\u00b0 oven for 35 minutes or until knife comes clean.
Make meringue from the egg whites.
Spoon meringue over pie filling, spreading evenly to edge of crust to seal all around.
Bake in a 425\u00b0 oven for 5 minutes or until meringue is lightly browned.
Cool on rack.
