Authentic Fox Head Inn Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. sugar
    3/4 c. white Karo
    2 eggs
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. butter, melted
    1 tsp. vanilla
    8-inch pie shell
    walnuts, chopped fine (enough to cover top of pie), coated with sugar
    1/2 to 1 bag, chocolate chips, chopped fine
Preparation
    Slightly beat the eggs and add the sugar, Karo, salt, butter and vanilla.
    Pour into pie shell and bake 45 minutes at 325\u00b0. After 30 minutes, baked (or 15 minutes before finished), add the chocolate chips and over this, the nuts.
    Return and bake the remaining 15 minutes.
    Cut into small wedges with whipped cream on top.
    (Add 1 to 2 tablespoons bourbon, do not let curdle, to fresh whipped cream.)
