Cinnamon Cucumber Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    7 lb. large cucumbers
    8 1/2 qt. water
    1 (1 oz.) bottle red food coloring
    8 cinnamon sticks
    1 Tbsp. alum
    1 (12 oz.) pkg. red hot candies
    2 c. lime
    3 c. vinegar
    10 c. sugar
Preparation
    Day One:
    Peel and seed cucumbers, slice into 1/2 to 3/4 strips.
    Cover with water and lime.
    Let stand 24 hours.
