Lucy'S Coleslaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large head cabbage
    1 large onion
    1 sweet pepper
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. celery salt
    1 c. vinegar
    1 c. salad oil
Preparation
    Shred cabbage.
    Add salt, oil and vinegar together and boil. Use layer of cabbage, onion and sweet pepper alternately.
    Pour sugar over this mixture and let set for 30 minutes.
    Pour boiling vinegar and oil over cabbage.
    Refrigerate for at least 6 hours to marinate.
    Stays crisp for a week.
