Chocolate Pound Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 lb. butter
1/2 c. Crisco
3 c. sugar
3/4 c. cocoa
3 c. plain flour, sifted
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
5 eggs
1 1/4 c. sweet milk
3/4 tsp. red food coloring (optional)
Preparation

Cream butter and Crisco.
Add sugar.
Sift flour with 3/4 cup cocoa, baking powder and salt.
Sift this 3 times.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition to butter and sugar mixture.
Beat and add flour mixture.
Add sweet milk and red cake coloring.
Beat well.
Bake in tube pan at 325\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours. Ice with Chocolate Icing.
