Snickerdoodles Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 3/4 c. flour
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    2 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Mix first 3 ingredients together thoroughly.
    Sift together flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt and stir in.
    Chill dough. Roll into balls the size of walnuts.
    Roll in mixture of 2 tablespoons sugar and cinnamon.
    Place about 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet.
    Bake until lightly browned but still soft.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
    Makes 5 dozen 2-inch cookies.
