Gingerbread With Citrus Fluff - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1/2 c. molasses
    1 1/2 c. plain flour
    3/4 tsp. salt
    3/4 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. ginger
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 c. boiling water
Preparation
    Cream until light 1/2 cup sugar and 1/2 cup shortening.
    Add egg and molasses.
    Beat thoroughly.
    Sift together flour, salt, soda, ginger and cinnamon.
    Add to creamed mixture alternately with 1/2 cup boiling water, beating after each addition.
    Bake in greased 8 x 8-inch pan for 35 to 40 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Serve warm with Citrus Fluff.
