Peanut Blossoms Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 3/4 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. peanut butter
1 egg
2 Tbsp. milk
48 milk chocolate Kisses

Preparation

Combine all ingredients, except chocolate Kisses, in large mixer bowl.
Mix on lowest speed until dough forms.
Shape into balls using rounded teaspoon of dough.
Roll balls in granulated sugar.
Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 375\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
Top each cookie immediately with a chocolate Kiss. Press down firmly until cookie cracks around edges.
