Beef Stir-Fry - cooking recipe
Ingredients

12 oz. rump, sirloin or fillet steak, sliced into thin strips
1 1/2 level Tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 tsp. Chinese 5 Spice
3 Tbsp. light or dark soy sauce
6 oz. broccoli
2 Tbsp. sesame oil
1 Tbsp. fresh ginger, chopped or 1/2 tsp. dry ginger
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
1 red pepper, sliced thin
1 onion, sliced
4 or 5 Tbsp. sherry
2 Tbsp. water
Preparation

Place steak in a bowl with cornstarch, 5 Spice and soy sauce. Mix and let sit 20 minutes to marinate.
Meanwhile, slice florets from stalks, slice the stalks diagonally into thin oval shapes and chop florets in small heads.
Heat oil in wok or large skillet. Add marinated steak, ginger and garlic and fry 3 to 4 minutes. Add pepper, broccoli and onion and fry 2 minutes.
Add sherry and water.
Cover and steam 1 minute.
Serve immediately over rice.
