Hobo Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. raisins
4 tsp. baking soda
2 c. boiling water
4 c. sifted flour
2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
4 Tbsp. oil
Preparation

Combine raisins, baking soda and boiling water.
Cover; do not mix.
Let stand overnight (9 to 10 hours).
In the morning, mix flour, sugar, salt and oil together with spoon (batter is thick). Finish mixing by hand.
Pour over raisins.
Fill 3 (1 pound) coffee cans 1/3 full.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1/2 hour, then at 325\u00b0 for 1/2 hour.
