Hot Fruit Compote - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (1 lb.) can black cherries, pitted (with juice)
    1 box dried apricots
    1 (1 lb.) can peaches, sliced
    juice and finely grated rind of both an orange and a lemon
    1/2 c. or more if you want, brown sugar
Preparation
    Place all ingredients in a large baking dish and bake in a moderate oven for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
    Stir it once or twice, so that it does not burn on top.
    Serve hot or cold (you can reheat it if you wish) with sour cream or heavy sweet cream.
    It is enough for 8, if I am not one of them.
