Tea Cakes - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
5 1/2 c. self rising flour
Preparation

Cream shortening. Add sugar and cream well. Add eggs, buttermilk, vanilla and flour. Roll out dough to 1/2 inch thickness. Cut with cookie cutter. Bake at 375\u00b0 for about 15 minutes. If you want soft cookie, use buttermilk if you want a crisp cookie use water.
