Melissa'S Peanut Brittle(Heritage Recipe) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. white sugar
    1 c. white karo
    1/2 c. water
    2 c. raw spanish peanuts
    1/2 stick margarine
    1 Tbsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Mix sugar, karo and water.
    Cook until temperature reaches 275 degrees on candy thermometer.
    Add peanuts and margarine. Cook until lightly brown.
    Quickly add soda and salt.
    Beat well to mix and pour into well buttered pan or large cookie sheet.
