1 (8-inch) unbaked pie crust
1/2 c. sugar
1 c. dark corn syrup
3 eggs
4 Tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. broken pecan pieces
Preparation

Cook sugar and syrup until mixture thickens.
Beat eggs, without separating, and slowly add hot syrup to eggs, beating constantly. Add butter, vanilla and nuts.
Pour into unbaked pie crust.
Bake 45 minutes at 375\u00b0.
