Apple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. margarine
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 egg
    2 unpared apples
    1 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    3/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cream
    together
    margarine
    and sugar.\tAdd
    egg,
    beat until creamy.
    Grate unpared apples; add to the mixture.\tSift together flour, soda, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt.
    Add
    to
    the mixture. Pour into greased 9 x 9-inch pan
    and
    bake
    at 400\u00b0 about 30 minutes (this is a rather stiff batter).
