Sister Sara'S Coconut Custard Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. white bread cubes
    1 c. finely grated coconut
    butter size of a walnut
    4 eggs
    1 qt. milk
Preparation
    Mix together sugar, egg yolks, bread, butter and coconut.
    Add milk and stir well.
    Beat egg whites until very stiff.
    Fold in egg whites last.
    Pour mixture into 2 (10-inch) pans lined with pastry.
    Bake for 40 to 45 minutes in 350\u00b0 oven.
    Remove from oven and sprinkle with coconut, if desired.
