Beef And Rice Bake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 pkg. dry onion soup mix
    3/4 c. uncooked rice
    1 1/2 c. boiling water
    1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes (undrained)
    1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Brown ground beef in a skillet; drain off excess fat.
    Combine with soup mix, rice, boiling water and tomatoes.
    Put into a 2-quart casserole.
    Bake, covered, at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes or until rice is tender.
    Uncover and sprinkle with cheese.
    Bake an additional 5 minutes or until cheese is melted.
    Makes 6 servings.
