Mincemeat Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening, butter or margarine
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    3 eggs
    3 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt (optional)
    1 1/3 c. mincemeat
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
    In a large bowl cream shortening and sugar.
    Add eggs.
    Beat until smooth.
    Combine dry ingredients. Gradually add to creamed mixture. Mix well.
    Stir in mincemeat. Drop by spoonfuls 2-inches apart onto greased baking sheets. Bake 8 to 10 minutes.
    Makes about 6 1/2 dozen.
