Carrot Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sifted plain flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. liquid shortening
    2 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    2 c. finely grated carrots
Preparation
    Sift together the flour, baking powder, soda, cinnamon and salt.
    Set aside.
    Combine the oil and sugar and mix well.
    Add eggs one at a time and beat well after each addition.
    Gradually add the dry ingredients.
    Mix well.
    Add carrots and mix well. Pour batter into greased and floured cake pans.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 50 to 60 minutes.
    Remove from pans and let cool.
    Ice with Nut Icing.
