Raisin Puffs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. seedless raisins
    1 c. water
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. shortening
    2 eggs
    3 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cook raisins with water until the water is gone.
    Cream sugar and shortening.
    Add eggs.
    Sift flour, soda and 1/2 teaspoon salt.
    Alternate adding flour, raisins and vanilla.
    Make balls the size of walnuts.
    Roll in granulated sugar.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 to 15 minutes (not too dark).
    Makes 8 dozen.
