Cheddar Garlic Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 C self- rising flour
    1/4 C shortening
    1 C shredded cheddar cheese
    3/4 C milk or buttermilk
    1/4 C butter, softened
    1/2 tsp. garlic powder
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Spray pan with non stick cooking spray. Measure flour in large bowl. Divide the shortening into small pieces and scatter on top of flour. Cut shortening into flour with a pastry cutter, two knifes or your finger tips until pieces are pea size. Stir in cheese and milk, stirring only enough to moisten flour and hold dough together. Drop by rounded Tbsp. onto prepared baking sheet, Bake 8-10 minutes or until tops are golden brown. Brush with garlic butter. (Combine butter and garlic until well blended.)
