Ingredients

1 c. cooking oil
2 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1/2 c. water
3 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. dates
1 1/2 c. nuts
2 c. cherries, cut in pieces
Preparation

Mix oil, sugar, eggs and water; mix well.
Blend in flour, soda and salt.
Fold in dates, nuts and cherries, one at a time, stirring well after each.
Cover and chill for 1 hour.
