Jewish Apple Cake - cooking recipe

1 c. oil
1/2 tsp. salt
2 1/2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1/2 c. orange juice
3 c. plain flour
3 tsp. baking powder
2 1/2 tsp. vanilla
4 to 5 apples
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. sugar
Preparation

Combine the first 8 ingredients; blend thoroughly with mixer. Set aside.
Peel the apples; slice into bite size pieces.
Combine apples with cinnamon and sugar.
Layer cake batter and apple mixture in greased tube pan, beginning and ending with cake mixture.
Bake in a 325\u00b0 oven for 1 1/2 hours, or until top is crusty and brown.
Delicious served warm with ice cream.
