Busy Day Beef Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 large potatoes, pared and cut in small pieces
    6 carrots, pared and cut in slices
    3 lb. stew beef, cut in 1 1/2-inch cubes
    1/3 c. soy sauce
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 tsp. paprika
    3 Tbsp. flour
    1 onion, chopped
    garlic powder to taste
    1 can condensed beef broth
    1 (8 oz.) tomato sauce
    1 c. water
Preparation
    In bottom of crock-pot, layer potatoes, carrots and finally meat.
    Sprinkle meat with soy sauce, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder and flour.
    Spread onions on top.
    Combine beef broth, tomato sauce and water.
    Pour over all.
    Cook on high for 5 hours, medium for 7 hours and low for 9 to 11 hours.
