Italian Cream Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick margarine or butter
    1/2 c. Crisco
    2 c. sugar
    2 c. flour
    5 egg yolks
    1 tsp. soda
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 can coconut
    1 c. chopped nuts
    5 egg whites, stiffly beaten
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cream margarine and shortening.
    Add sugar and beat again until mixture is smooth.
    Add egg yolks and beat well.
    Combine flour and soda.
    Add flour mixture to creamed mixture and then alternate with buttermilk.
    Stir in vanilla.
    Add coconut and nuts.
    Fold in egg whites and pour into three 8-inch pans.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes or until done.
    Cool and frost with Cream Cheese Frosting.
