Sweet Potatoes And Apples - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 sweet potatoes, cooked and peeled
    2 apples, peeled and thinly sliced
    1/4 c. (1/2 stick) butter
    1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    1 Tbsp. water
Preparation
    Cut potatoes into 1/2-inch slices.
    Layer half the potatoes in a buttered shallow 1 1/2-quart casserole.
    Cover with apples.
    Top with remaining potatoes.
    Combine butter, sugar and water in saucepan; bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
    Pour over potatoes.
    Bake in preheated 325\u00b0 oven for 30 to 35 minutes or until apples are tender.
