Mother'S Blackberry Jam Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    2 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. soda
    1 c. buttermilk
    4 eggs
    3 c. sifted flour
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. allspice
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. seedless blackberry jam
    1 c. raisins
    1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar; dissolve soda in buttermilk.
    Add eggs, one at a time, to butter and sugar mixture.
    Blend flour and spices.
    Add alternately with milk to butter and sugar mixture. Add vanilla, jam, raisins and nuts.
    Mix well.
    Batter will be thick.
