"Old Timer'S" Chili Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 gal. ripe tomatoes, peeled and cut up
    2 c. red pepper (bell)
    3 tsp. ginger
    salt to taste
    2 tsp. nutmeg
    3 c. onions, peeled and cut up
    6 pods hot pepper, seeded
    3 c. sugar
    2 tsp. cloves
    3 tsp. cinnamon
    1 qt. white vinegar
Preparation
    Mix ingredients together well.
    Bring to boil and cook 2 hours on medium heat, stirring often to prevent sticking as it thickens. Makes 12 pints.
    Pour into jars and seal.
