Shawneetown Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 eggs, beaten
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    2 c. sugar
    2 c. flour
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
    1 Tbsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. butter or oleo
    1 c. water
    3 Tbsp. cocoa
Preparation
    In a bowl (large), combine eggs and buttermilk.
    Beat in sugar, flour, vanilla, cinnamon and soda.
    Set aside.
    Combine butter or oleo, water and cocoa in a medium saucepan.
    Bring to a boil.
    Reduce heat and continue boiling 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    Add to batter and beat until smooth and well blended.
    Pour into a greased 9 x 13-inch baking pan.
    Bake in preheated 400\u00b0 oven for 20 to 25 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
    Cool.
    Spread evenly with Shawneetown Cake Icing.
