Tea Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. milk
    3 c. flour
    1 tsp. almond extract
    1 c. chopped, blanched almonds
    1/2 tsp. salt
    6 large egg whites
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Sift flour and baking powder together.
    Add to first mixture alternately with milk.
    Add well-floured nuts and almonds.
    Add stiffly beaten egg whites to which salt has been added.
    Bake in cupcake or mini cupcake pans at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
