Irish Soda Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. flour
2 eggs, beaten
2/3 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. seedless raisins
1 Tbsp. baking powder
1 3/4 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. shortening
1 tsp. baking soda
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Grease a round cake pan.
In a large bowl, sift together the dry ingredients.
Stir in raisins.
In another bowl, combine eggs, buttermilk and shortening.
Add to the dry ingredients and stir until moistened.
Bake 1 hour or until top is lightly browned.
Let cool on rack before slicing.
Serve with butter.
