Minnie'S Sweet Pickle Sticks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 qt. cukes
    3 3/4 c. white vinegar
    3 c. sugar
    3 Tbsp. salt
    4 1/2 tsp. celery seed
    4 1/2 tsp. turmeric
    3/4 tsp. mustard seed
Preparation
    Mix spices, vinegar and sugar in saucepan.
    Boil for 5 minutes.
    Wash cukes and cut into sticks.
    Cover with boiling water.
    Let stand for 4 to 5 hours.
    Drain and pack cukes solidly in pint jars.
    Pour hot liquid over cukes.
    Leave 1/2-inch headspace.
    Seal jars and then process for 5 minutes.
