Butter Toffee - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/4 c. water
    1 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. butter
    12 oz. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
Preparation
    Combine sugar, salt, water and butter.
    Cook to light crack stage (285\u00b0).
    Add 1/2 cup chopped walnuts.
    Pour into well-greased cookie sheet.
    Cool.
    Melt semi-sweet chocolate pieces.
    Spread 1/2 of chocolate on top with 1/2 cup walnuts. Cool.
    Turn over.
    Spread with remaining chocolate.
    Sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup nuts.
    Break into pieces.
    Makes 2 dozen pieces.
