Strawberry-Filled Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 sticks (1/2 lb.) butter, softened
    1/4 c. sugar
    2 tsp. vanilla extract
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    2 c. pecans, pulverized
    strawberry jam
Preparation
    Cream the sugar and butter in a mixing bowl until soft and fluffy.
    Beat in vanilla, then flour and pulverized nuts.
    Roll into bite size balls.
    Place on a greased baking sheet and make a cavity in each ball with forefinger.
    Bake in 300\u00b0 oven for 35 minutes.
    Remove from oven and fill cavities with 1/2 teaspoon of jam.
    Return to oven for 10 minutes.
