Crackling Cornbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. cornmeal
1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. sugar
2 c. pork cracklings
2 c. buttermilk
1 egg, beaten
1/4 c. bacon drippings
Preparation

Combine first 6 ingredients in a large bowl.
Add buttermilk, egg and bacon drippings.
Stir until dry ingredients are moistened.
Spoon batter into a preheated, greased iron skillet and bake at 400\u00b0 for 20 to 30 minutes.
