Dumplings - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. flour
1 egg, beaten
3 Tbsp. shortening
1/2 tsp. salt
chicken broth
1 hard-cooked egg, finely chopped
5 Tbsp. water
Preparation

Combine flour, egg, shortening, salt and water; mix well to form soft dough.
Divide into 3 parts.
Roll out paper thin; let dough dry for 20 minutes.
Cut in small strips; drop in boiling broth.
Cook dumplings for 10 to 15 minutes, or until tender.
Add hard-cooked egg; stir lightly.
