Smothered Steak With Onions - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 pieces bacon
    round steak, cut into 1 1/2-inch pieces
    plenty of onions, cut up
    water (to cover)
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Put bacon in bottom of heavy frypan.
    Place bottom of the round steak on top of bacon.
    Put plenty of onions on top of meat.
    Add water to cover.
    Add salt and pepper and cook slowly for 3 hours. Add water later if it starts to lose water.
