Sweet Potato Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
    1 1/2 t. salt
    1/2 t. nutmeg
    4 t. baking powder
    1/2 t. cinnamon
    1 (29 oz.) can or 2 c. mashed sweet potatoes
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/2 c. melted butter
    1 t. vanilla
    3/4 c. chopped pecans (optional)
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 450\u00b0.
    In a bowl, mix dry (first five) ingredients. In a separate large bowl, combine remaining ingredients; mix well. Stir dry ingredients into sweet potato mixture. Add pecans, if desired. Knead dough and roll out on a floured surface. Cut dough with a biscuit cutter. Place biscuits on a greased cookie sheet and bake at 450\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes or until brown. Makes 1 1/2 to 2 dozen biscuits.
