Angel Biscuits - cooking recipe
Ingredients

5 c. plain flour
1 pkg. dry yeast
1/4 c. warm water
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
2 Tbsp. sugar
2 c. warm to lukewarm buttermilk
3/4 c. melted shortening/oil
Preparation

Mix dry yeast and warm water and set aside.
Sift flour, baking powder, salt, and soda together.
Combine yeast and melted shortening to warm buttermilk and add sifted ingredients and sugar.
Pour this out onto floured board and knead until desired consistency.
Roll out and cut with glass or biscuit cutters. Bake at 400 degrees until golden brown.
Makes about 36 biscuits depending on size.
I butter the top of mine before I bake them.
